Ako ngā waiata e pa ana ki te wā kainga, whakatipu kākano kia tipu ai ngā kai, tieki Papatūānuku/Te Taiao, Mahi Toi/Ngā Mareikura - whakamana ngā wahine toa o Te kainga, Manu Kōrero..... ka hanga mātou ngā paraikete whakapapa, we are also working together to create a new kura logo

Opening of MLW will begin with a zui a kura, including karakia, himene, mihi, pepeha from staff and students, waiata tautoko, kupu/kiwaha o te wiki and a waiata from our kapahaka roopu. All classes will karakia mō te kai before lunch and a daily te reo Māori quiz.

    We will Ako, Tākaro, Waiata, and Kōrero. At Tararua REAP we will continue our journey in becoming more confident in Te Reo. We are all at different stages and are well supported by 2 incredible fluent Te Reo speakers. We will acknowledge and thank them and celebrate our on-going journey.

  • Omanu School


    We will Ako, Whakarongo, Tākaro, and Waiata. We are going to gave a Te reo 'taonga hunt' and each day of Te wiki o te reo Māori there will be 3 riverstone hidden in the school grounds with our touchstones akonga, aroha and mana painted on them. If a student finds a stone they get to keep it and be tautoko'd in assembly (or virtually if we are covid restricted). We will also have a kupu/kiwaha challenge, where classes challenge each other with their knowledge of what we have learnt as a kura in Term 3 through our daily notices/panui.

    We will Whakarongo, Tākaro, Waiata, and Kōrero. We have changed all of our bells to waiata from the anthems album from last years te wiki o te reo Māori. Provided we are able (with covid restrictions) we are hosting other schools from our area to a language celebration.
